U.S. GOVERNMENT NUCLEAR ENERGY PARTNERS

For more than seventy years, the United States has led the development and use of civil nuclear power technology. There are several U.S. Government agencies that support nuclear energy development and deployment, which are illustrated below.

Our goal is to enhance and establish long-term nuclear energy partnerships; assist countries on an integrated and tailored approach in developing the needed infrastructure capabilities and organizational culture for a civil nuclear program that meets the highest level of nuclear safety, safeguards, and security standards; and to meet countries' sustainable development goals.

In addition, international partners can access and leverage multilateral expertise through participation in the International Atomic Energy Agency, the International Framework for Nuclear Energy Cooperation (IFNEC), the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency, the World Institute for Nuclear Security (WINS), the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO), and the General IV International Forum (GIF).
